Jane Richard
MA, LPCC
Jane is passionate about helping people walk in freedom from the trials and trauma in their lives and considers it a privilege to walk alongside them on their journey toward wholeness. Jane sees counseling as a front-row seat to God’s healing. In addition to counseling, Jane has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and worked in the Corporate IT field for 23 years before changing careers. She volunteered as a help Line and hospital advocate for sexual assault survivors and has worked as a volunteer in prison ministry.
Jane understands that life experiences and circumstances can affect mental, physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being in negative ways. She believes in the importance of helping people to feel safe and not judged in a therapeutic environment. Jane enjoys helping people gain tools to overcome the challenges they face. Over the years, Jane has enjoyed working with ministers and missionaries, as well as serving on the clinical leadership team, ministry enrichment team, answering the ministry help line, and as an Adjunct Professor at Ashland Theological Seminary. Outside of counseling, Jane enjoys sitting on her porch in the woods with her family, soaking up nature, birdwatching, cooking, baking pies, music, word games, and spending time with friends, her husband, and their 3 children and their spouses.
