Ingrid Monteith
M.A. LPCC-S
Ingrid brings over 35 years of experience in private practice as a clinical counselor in Northeast Ohio to Renew Counseling Ministries. Guided by her life motto, “The journey is the reward,” she considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients as they pursue healing and personal growth. After recently concluding her part-time role as an elementary school counselor, Ingrid is excited to devote her full time and energy to her work at Renew.
Ingrid grew up in a bilingual home in Cincinnati, Ohio, and from an early age felt drawn to a career in counseling. She attended Grove City College and earned her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Akron. Her faith is an important part of her life and shapes her compassionate approach to helping clients find understanding, support, and guidance. After nearly 40 years of marriage, Ingrid’s husband passed away following a long illness. She is thankful for the life they shared and for the continued joy she finds in her children and grandchildren.
Ingrid loves being outdoors—tending her garden and hiking. She also enjoys playing the piano and values the role music plays in worship, emotional expression, and connection with others.
