Jessica Smith

Jessica’s experience in Special Education has given her a unique lens to view how the systems in which we find ourselves impact our whole self. Throughout the years Jessica has held many roles in counseling organizations such as Assistant Clinical Director, Internship Program Coordinator, Group Program Coordinator, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and Clinical Training Supervisor. She brings the experience of leadership to Renew with a passion to preserve a culture of wellness and aid in development of amazing therapists because she believes when we are healthy, more people are able to find health.
Jessica has pursued advanced training in the areas of Complex PTSD and trauma related disorders as well as Crisis Intervention, informing her passion in treating trauma and for crisis response both in and outside of Ohio as well as provide training to schools, churches, government agencies, professionals, paraprofessionals, and ministries. When she is not working with clients or guiding interns and residents in professional development, you can find her enjoying nature with her family; hiking, paddle boarding, swimming, running. When weather keeps her indoors, she will likely be finding some live music or diving into a great book.
