Karen Nagy

Karen comes to Renew with experience in community mental health and private practice. She desires to help others who struggle with difficult life experiences, trauma, and abuse. She is passionate about providing a safe space to facilitate healing and growth. Karen believes that all people have intrinsic worth, with unique gifts and abilities that can make this world a better place.
Karen worked as a Physical Therapist for 30 years and most enjoyed building relationships with and supporting patients in their physical recovery. Through life experiences she became passionate about the field of counseling and made the decision to return to school and become a counselor so that she could support others through their healing journey. Karen’s faith in Jesus is central to her life and is where she derives her hope and purpose. Her adult children, their spouses and her first grandchild are the joy of her life. Together with her husband, Karen cherishes time with family. She also enjoys time in nature, time with friends, reading, and traveling.
