Nelda comes to Renew with previous experience working with survivors of human trafficking and pastoral care for those victims at Summit County Jail. Nelda is passionate about creating a safe, open environment and relationship to facilitate her clients growth and healing. Nelda is grateful for the life experiences that she brings to her counseling work.
People are Nelda’s passion. She has a heart for meeting people where they are. She is passionate about hearing people’s stories and understanding the full scope of who they are. Nelda is grateful for her marriage of 30+ years and for their children and grandchildren. Nelda loves spending time in the Bible and sharing what God is teaching her at Summit County Jail. One of the joys of Nelda’s life has been serving women who are victims of trafficking and walking with them during their pain and healing for the past 15 years. Nelda has been serving in the community through non profits, schools and churches for over 30 years. She is grateful to journey with women, teens and families in their time of exploration and healing. Nelda’s favorite Bible verse is John 3:17: “God did not come into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him”. Nelda’s heart desire is to help people on their journey to freedom by understanding that God loves.
